Ruggedy Range™ Wilderness Experience and all its business entities is committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected. This policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information. By using our websites and services you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

This policy was last updated in June 2018. We may change this policy by uploading a revised policy onto this website. The change will apply from the date that we upload the revised policy.

If you are booking or purchasing our services and/or products on behalf of another person you agree you have obtained the permission of that other person for us to collect, use and disclose the other person's personal information in accordance with this Policy.

  • provide services and products to you, and where relevant secure travel and/or accommodation and/or other third party activities you have requested

  • market our services and products (e.g. images, videos, sound recordings, feedback)
  • to improve the services and products that we provide to you
  • to undertake credit checks of you (if necessary)

From time to time, we take take photographs, audio or video recordings, or other forms of recordings that capture your image, likeness, voice during the course of your activity and/or tour with us. Other customers or third parties may also do the same and pass on this information to us.

We also actively seek your feedback on our services and products.

We will seek your consent to use the images, video recordings, sound recordings, feedback to market and promote our products and services (unless they are already publicly available). Please also refer to our Terms and Conditions.

The ways in which the Images will be used for marketing purposes include, but are not limited to, incorporating the Images in print, broadcast, internet media, direct marketing channels, downloadable content and applications, and all other media, platform or technology now known or to be developed for distribution around the world. The Images may be altered, modified, changed, combined or incorporated into other works.

You have the right to request access to your images, video or sound recordings and feedback and to make corrections to ensure they are complete and not misleading. 

Internet Use

We take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies (an alphanumeric identifier that we transfer to your computer's hard drive so that we can recognise your browser) to monitor your use of our website. You may disable cookies by changing the settings on your browser, although this may mean that you cannot use all of the features of the website. 

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. We use a third party system for logging traffic, the third party provider does not keep any personally identifiable information in the data it collects.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. No personal information about visitors to our website is stored within our cookies.

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time. In addition we provide an unsubscribe link on any newsletter we send by email.

We may charge you our reasonable costs of providing to you copies of your personal information or correcting that information.
